Based on Joe Lefler's original innovative design, and produced exclusively by Showtime Magic Products under arrangement with the Joe Lefler estate, this new version is better than ever. This innovative flip top version is the idea of performer Dorian Lachance, and wow do we love this idea!
How have we reduced the weight? This new model retains the solid Baltic Birch plywood frame as its durable skeleton, but replaces non-structural panels with thermoplastic inserts. It looks identical to the tables we've built for decades, but when you pick it up, you'll discover a substantial weight reduction vs. our traditional models--from 6-13 lbs. depending on which size table you choose. It's just as long-lasting, just as beautiful, and just as strong, but weighs a lot less. Since introducing the Lightweight Tables in 2016, we have made hundreds of them, and performers have indicated that they hold up just as well as the all-wood tables but the weight difference is a huge advantage. Lightweight models now make up about 90% of our sales volume for the Pro Suitcase Table product line.

•Identical in features and dimensions to the standard Lightweight Pro Suitcase Table, this table features a versatile flip open lid on the top. The table can be used with this lid closed, creating a performing surface, or can be used flipped open, also creating a performing surface but allowing top access to the inside of the table.
•Sturdy furniture grade ½ inch Baltic Birch plywood frame that is both glued and fastened for exceptional durability and long life, combined with lightweight, highly durable thermoplastic inserts on non-structural panels for reduced weight
•Durable Velcro-friendly synthetic exterior upholstery in your choice of two colors --Solid Black or Charcoal Gray--that handles years of wear and tear with ease
•High quality battery operated LED light mounted under the tabletop is dimmable and aimable—a lifesaver for set up and tear down backstage or in poorly lighted venues
•Bright white gloss painted interior offers ease of visibility when searching for props inside and wipes out easily with a damp cloth
•Three shelves--one fixed and two adjustable--including one that may be positioned to create a handy enclosed "secret" compartment at the bottom of the table for infrequently used items--or removed altogether should you wish

SPECIFICATIONS:
Dimensions are the same as our standard Pro Suitcase Tables (see descriptions elsewhere on this site for the ORIGINAL Joe Lefler Pro Suitcase Table). Lightweight Models have a weight reduction of between 6-13 lbs. versus our standard all-wood table models depending on the size of the table.
Note: if you are concerned about maximum weight reduction, we do not recommend the large 4 inch casters. Larger casters, by their nature, are much heavier than the standard 2 inch casters.
All dimensions quoted are exterior dimensions and interior dimensions are approximately 1 inch smaller than outside dimensions.

A frequently asked question is "What is the difference between the Mini, Small, Large and Extra Large Sizes?" The only difference is width. As the sizes go up, the width of the tables increase.
